I’ve create this discussion to see what feature other Plex users would love to see possibly arrive on the plex media server…and hopefully give Plex employees some creative ideas
So please enter your ideas you would suggest for the plex media server. .???
*A more social approach to Plex:
I would love to be able to view not just rotten tomatoes review but review ratings made by account users on the plex media server…
1). Being able to see suggested movies by family members “4 out of 5 (stars) - alien 1979” by Dad. 2 out of 5 - by sister. Etc
2). Ability to notify other family members in the plex account about a movie, photo, album, or recorded (live DVR TV episode) i.e. " Dad just rated “Back to the Future” 5/5 stars.
3). Ability to create a top 10 movie list, to share with others on the account eg - mam’s top five all time favourite movies (so to view and compare)
*ablity to view " related movies" and “collections” together, rather than one or the other.
*ability to sereach by Director, in the " actors in movie" selection feature (actor pictures @ page bottom of movie title selection) of plex clients (Apple TV )
*in a movie title section, to the bottom of the page you are provided with options such as “more in drama/action/comedy/etc” this would be much better if the titles shown are displayed in a Radom order, not a-z, as this can be very repetitive.
*ability to add full artwork and movie logo to your movie titles E.g.
The movie logo feature is very much possible, as “fanart.tv” provides feautured movie and tv show logos as well as just movie posters

As users “edit” a movie title, users are presented with options such as
- General
- Tags
- Sharing
- Poster
- *********Logo
- ********* Backdrop (optional) * choose between normal poster with blurred background or a Backdrop image, like the examples above
- Background
- Info
*ability to ast Amazon Alexa to do the following
- Alexa ask plex to show me movies directed by James carmeron
- Alexa ask plex to show (show rather than tell) me recently added action movies
- Alexa ask plex to show me new movies starting/with Michael Fassbender
- Alexa ask plex to Suggest a movie ( based on my recently watched movies)
