What service does Plex use now for TV Shows?

What service does Plex use for naming TV shows now? It was TVDB before right?

I am asking because Plex’s own naming system for Ghost Adventures doesn’t match TVDB.com’s own database. It has season 25 right now and previous seasions episodes incorrectly named that I have had to go back and manually for the correct naming.

Thanks,

can you please provide an example of an incorrectly named episode.

Did you set your library or that show to use TVDB episode order?

Season 25 episodes appear on Plex with the same episodes names as season 24.

Thanks,

make sure to set your Episode Order appropriately set it for the library if you always use TVDB or set it for individual shows. ( some shows may need DVD order for example) It is on the advanced tab of library and shows. ( not episodes). it sounds like you may still have it set to TMDB which is the default.

I don’t see anything wrong with it when using the correct Episode order. (ignroe the last two thumbs for S25 TVDB does not have episode thumbs for those yet)

If I remove all the files from season 25 of the Ghost Advenures, wait until plex removes season 25, then re-add the files back, when plex adds season 25 back it maps the files in as Seson 24 episodes.

Here is my proof.

I am running Plex Server for Windows (running on Server 2022) Version 1.41.6.9685.

Thanks,

OK but have you changed the “Episode Ordering” on either the whole library to TVDB or or TVDB (Aired) in the case of the show.

It appears to be usiing the order from TMDB which I am guessing either your library or show is set to. Ghost Adventures: Season 25 (2024) — The Movie Database (TMDB)

I am talking about these settings for Library and Show respectively which is explained in the links I posted previously
