In the past couple of days I’ve encountered a problem when adding a new TV series and episodes to Plex.
I’ve added two new TV series in the past few days and the new programmes have both been added OK. However, when scanning, Plex is renaming the TV series Lonesome Dove (which was added over 2 years ago) to Season 01 and removing the title thumbnail and text. This season has four episodes and all four have lost their titles and text but have kept their thumbnails.
During the scan for the new TV series, the screen is showing that Plex is checking for Intros for the TV series Season 01.
When I do a Get Info on the individual episodes of the renamed Season 01 it still shows the same filepath as before i.e Lonesome Dove.
At the moment I’m having to re match the Season 01 to change it back to Lonesome Dove, which is a pain as I know it’ll revert to Season 01 the next time I add a new episode/series to Plex.
Any ideas?

Please show us a screen capture from the root of the TV Show library all the way down to an episode that was renamed

I’m not sure what you mean by the root of the TV Show library?
Edit your library, and click on Add Folder
Then you see the defined root for your library, as in the top folder
Thanks for pointing me in that direction, as a result, I think I’ve managed to solve it.
When I checked the list already in the Add Folder I found duplicates of TV shows of only one season in length, where one of the additions had included the season number and one hadn’t. One of these TV shows was Lonesome Dove and another was one of the shows I’d added in the past few days.
I’ve now deleted the incorrect folders from the Add Folder list, re-checked the directory/folder/file of the shows and all now appears to be working OK.

Keep in mind you should point the library to a library-level folder… don’t add the folders of individual shows to the library one-by-one.
