Player Version#:Plex 7.4 iPhone
When syncing content to iPhone, is it possible to sync the original file to the iPhone instead of converting. My file formats are H.265 and Opus and the new player will play these files without trans-coding. So why does the Plex server use conversion, before it downloads the file? Is there a setting available to allow to copy the original file, will out the need to convert first?

There’s currently no such feature.
This had been discussed when Plex introduced the new player in the first place but there had been no conclusive feedback. Back then the argument was that the server cannot know for sure if you are / will be using the new player. So in order to remain compatible there’s no download of the original file (yet?)
