When will DVR scheduling be in AppleTV beta?

I want to test DVR scheduling on AppleTV, any idea when this feature hits beta?

Unfortunately (and I hope I’m wrong) I think this is a LONG way away. Based on a comment elan made in another thread they seemed to suggest that because they’re using the Apple default player on tvOS they are very restricted with what they can do with the Plex app on Appple TV.

This probably explains why the Apple TV DVR functionality is so extremely limited (virtually does nothing more than tune to a channel) compared to the android client and unless they decide a radical departure from this I wouldn’t be surprised if the Apple TV doesn’t end up getting any features.

Our goal is to leverage Live TV/DVR on AppleTV with other clients (as Android TV for instance). And we are actively working on it. So it will get these features in the future.

Unfortunately, in the next couple of betas, we won’t add DVR Scheduling.

We are actively adding small bits, as well as fixing bugs for Live TV, and these are and will come out in the next betas.
