Where are the update files located?

Where can I find the actual update downloads for Plex? I have found the server updates in the APPDATA folder in the past, but when I look here all subfolders are empty including the version that just installed today:

%APPDATA%\Local\Plex\cache\updates

Is Plex deleting it’s own update files now?

Once it’s installed, the installer .exe is deleted now.

Really? Any idea why? I archive those “just in case” and when the latest version isn’t available on the download page I can’t even get the newest one anymore…:frowning:

You could archive them manually and revert to pass or non pass versions when available.

I do that when I’m able already. The problem is that like in today’s update, the update isn’t on the download page yet. There is often a delay then it slips off the radar and I don’t think to go get it until the next update announcement and by then I missed a version entirely with no way to get it back that I know of.

I was able to go into the cache folder and get all versions until recently so I guess I’m curious what the rationale was for automatically deleting them.
