Where does PMS cache in-progress recordings?

I’m still having major problems with PMS and DVR scheduled recordings, but the silence from Plex is deafening

In an effort to further my own investigations…does anyone know where in-progress recordings are cached to? So I can monitor if a recording has started or not without waiting until the show is over to see if it failed or not.

The actual recording would be in the .grab folder where you specified the recording to be placed. While Plex is recording the show is also being written in 1 second files to the transcode folder which by default is in your appdata folder under Plex Media Server/Cache/Transcode/Sessions. A separate folder is created for each recording.
