I haven’t seen any posts about people with Plex loaded on LG’s new Bluray players. Which ones are compatible? Any success or horror stories? Thinking of getting one for my parents instead of lugging my mac mini around every time I visit.

Maybe you can get an Samsung Blueray they have a Plugin for Plex.

I personally bought the Samsung BD-D5500 and installed the Plex client developed by hd1080(Forum Thread Found Here. It was a very simple install following his (or her) directions. Total setup time took about 15 minutes and that included installing Plex and letting it start to populate the content. I would highly recommend using the app for Samsung TV/BD Players.
