Why can't I flash my SD Card?

Hi guys. Think I am probably being really stupid, but I can’t get my SD card flashed. GetRasplex says 'Couldn’t open /dev/disk7 and following the manual install instructions pops a ‘dd: bs: illegal numeric value’ return in terminal. I am using the built in SD card reader in a Mac Mini and the card mounts fine. Any ideas?

Check that the write protect switch on the card isn’t on.
