Why is Media Server for Windows download different?

My server Windows up until this point has been running 1.18.2.2058 but my friends have been complaining of issues, after checking my networking out I searched went to the Plex website to the download area and Plex Media Server for Windows is version 1.18.3.2111 … ah… so WTF? Why wasn’t my sever being notified of any updates? I checked it, I hit check for updates and it goes and comes saying I am up to date… I am sure others are in the same boat… Did Plex drop the ball?

1.18.3 is the beta release available for Plex Pass members. The download page will show this if you enable the “Plex Pass Downloads” option. For your server, is it set to check the beta channel?

This post describes how to roll back to a previous version of the Plex Media Server:

If you can’t find the most recent public release in your PMS folder (as described in the link), go to the download page for Plex, toggle Plex Pass Downloads to off and download that version of PMS.
