Every day I open the Plex Preview. Every day I see no background image. Every day I open Plex OG or Infuse and continue.
It’s just a bit sad seeing new releases with fixes not this one. It looks terrible so kills motivation to try out the rest of the app.

Its crazy how fast infuse and getchannels (i recommend trying that app) are fixing issues and how crazy slow plex reacts to them.
Yep, the latest version of the Channels DVR app has really upped their game on personal media - and their DVR functions make Plex look pathetic in comparison.

I opened Plex OG and basked in an actual background image. Thinking would I choose a logo or a background image and realised this is an absurd question but background image if I must.

I have given up any hope for the preview app sadly.
We have a ticket for this, but I don’t have any updates as to when it will be available other than it being tagged as “finish before public release”.

I suppose its like having the desktop wallpaper feature being broken and being okay with it, and expecting others to be okay with it.
Not unusable, but it means every time you launch you think ‘this is broken’… immediately. It just means the first impression is ‘lol’, every time.
I get it. I am seeing this on my AppleTV device as well, and yeah it doesn’t look great. But this is also why we have this in preview and not out as a general release. I have high confidence in the team that is working on this that they will find a solution before we release this to all users.
