Why is volume from any Plex player so low compared to any other player?

People are still shouting about this, and Plex support has said nothing!

Plex has turned the volume down on it’s users as well.

It looks like the engineers are only focused on making games work in Plex?? WTH are games doing in plex, its a MEDIA PLAYER, not a gaming console. If you look at the newest server update change log, its obvious that gaming updates are more important than audio issues that have been going on for almost 2 years at this point…

Volume on my Roku app however has always been fine, but I did have this problem on the web client.

I was able to fix it by:

  1. Go to SETTINGS.
  2. Go to PLEX WEB…PLAYER on the left-hand list of options .
  3. Finally uncheck NORMALIZE MULTI-CHANNEL AUDIO.
  4. Hit SAVE CHANGES.
  5. Close any videos you may have open and reload the browser window.

Hope that helps!
