Why on earth isn't there a client for ubuntu?

hiya,

just install ubuntu on my laptop and wanted to watch some movies via plex. Why the heck isn’t there a client for ubuntu ? running 20.10

tried - and couldnn’t get it to work - but I really wonder why this isn’t in the ubuntu software manager - I know I know - don’t install any linux flavour if you are scared of the terminal - usually I’m not - and right now I’m in the process of building from the guide here: https://github.com/plexinc/plex-media-player but still… it seems that a linux client was promised all the way back in 2015.
