In Windows 10, when I go full screen, we go into a different version/format/style for Plex media player.
Though, one thing I have noticed is navigation is mostly keyboard driven. Any way to make it so I can use the mouse?? It looks so much nicer than the standard media player on the PC. Backgrouns are there, it’s just so much cleaner looking.
This design is optimized for the big screen and can also be used with a remote (if supported by your computer). Hence no focus on mouse controlling it.
To change that…
Navigate to your name and click Settings
In the general / main section, navigate to Disable Mouse and uncheck it.
in that case I’m not exactly sure what you’re looking for or if I understand what you mean by “navigate”.
you have the mouse but it doesn’t navigate? what would you like it to do that it cannot do at the moment?!
So, at the moment, in the top left corner, I have the Home, Movies, TV, etc. For me to select movie, I have to actually use the keyboard to navigate to it.
Then, when I am in the movie directory, I have to scroll using the keyboard. The Mouse scroll wheel does not work. Is it possible for me to get full navigation in the full screen plex?
You can (at some point you could - unknown at present) use one of the phone apps to control Plex Media Player. Since the upgrade (if you want to call it that) PMP is basically ruined, so I haven’t used it much and can’t say if my phone app is of any help at all - other than casting to PMP with it, but that’s a sure-fire work-around to Plex’s Insane Design Model for just about everything they touch.
