Windows 7 vs Windows 10

Hey folks - need a serious response to this…

Is there any difference in Plex’s Hardware Transcoding between Windows 7 or Windows 10?

I’m planning to install Windows 7 (debloated version) and primarily using the PC just for PLEX and maybe some mild gaming.

I’ve got a powerful CPU and a great GPU - so it’s really just about the OS that I’m wondering.

Can someone shed some light?

Don’t. Just don’t. Both Plex and gaming need internet access.

Connecting a Windows 7 to the net is a very bad idea, now that there is no way to get any updates for it.
Running Plex on Windows 7 requires several Windows updates which are no longer obtainable through the regular Windows Update channel.

Huh? What are you talking about mate? Clearly the protocols aren’t gonna change anytime soon and I’ve been running a Win7 VM over the last year for torrents and it’s been swell!
