Windows app plays wrong movie

Since a recent update to the windows player, whenever I select a movie to watch, the movie that gets played is not the one I selected, but another one in the same library.

For example, lets say I want to watch Ghostbusters, it will play Back to The Future instead. At the bottom of the screen, it will say that the current file being played is Back to The Future, so it’s not mixing up the file. It just plays the wrong film. If I try watching Ghostbusters again, it might play Back To The Future, it might play Robocop. It is not consistent. If I try to watch Back To The Future, maybe it will play Star Wars, maybe it will play Gangs of New York etc.

This appears to happen for all movies in my Movie library. TV shows in my TV library are working fine. This problem only happens on the windows player… web player, appleTV player and iPhone app all work fine, no problems at all. I have tested this across two different windows devices.

Any suggestions for how I can get this working correctly? If not, does this count as a bug report for the windows player, or can I formally make one?

Disable movie trailers.

Wow that worked… how did I not realize that what was being played was the trailers??

The playback duration of the video (which should appear when you Pause) or the button to add the movie to your Watchlist are strong hints that what is playing is a trailer.
