For the last half dozen or so updates I’ve been regularly encountering an issue where the Windows Desktop Player will “lose” existing quality settings and changes over to a low resolution quality that I suspect is the default internet streaming quality for my server. Notably, the quality controls options in playback settings are also missing when this happens. The issue can be resolved via restarting the service, but appears to have a 100% failure rate given enough time. I’m going to keep an eye on things and post additional notes as I find them.
Steps to reproduce:
Leave the desktop player open and idle for an extended period of time (~4 hours) and play a video from the server in question (in this case local to the LAN).
