Web client streaming stops after manually changing quality setting

Server Version#: 1.18.9.2578 - Linux (NVENC, no QSV)
Player Version#: 4.30.2

While hardware transcoding is enabled (both check boxes), I have a bug where if i select a new quality (bitrate) in the web app, the stream crashes. The system works as expected if I disable hardware encoding.

From the logs, it looks like the old session is torn down (“Whacked” is what the logs say), but the new encoder session is never established.

Can anybody else verify this as a bug?

Any additional info I can give?

Hi there, I’m having the same problem with my Nvidia GTX1050 on a Windows Server 2019. Version 1.19.2.2711

That makes me feel better that I’m not the only one with the issue. I wonder how we would go about getting it fixed?

Log files ZIP (DEBUG, not verbose) which capture the issue.

At this point, it is unclear if the fault is in the player or the server.

Windows server issues cannot be addressed here. Windows hardware transcoding uses a completely different mechanism. (i don’t have windows nor am I familiar with how it is done)
