Windows Player audio works independently of Windows Audio

Server Version#: 1.41.4.9463
Player Version#:1.108.1.307-dd5b87aa

Ever since Windows 11 dropped the E-AC3 codec, my desktop player audio has never been the same.

Yes, I updated my codec per the solution in this thread:

This did restore the audio, but another problem arose.

My audio within the player will not respond to the Windows system-configured volume as expected. Mute works as expected, but any other system volume setting is ignored by the application. The only way to adjus the application volume is within the application.

Maybe you have enabled the “exclusiv mode”.
This will circumvent the Windows audio mixer.
