Today I tried to run plex on my Apple TV 3
I downloaded Python 2.7.5 installed this
Downloads plex media server and installed
Downloaded the plex connect XML templates files and opened up the, plexconnect.py and it seems to be fine, said it found the PMS on 192.168.0.17/32400
I then went onto the Apple TV and in the network settings I set the DNS to 192.168.0.17 which is where the plex media server is running
I then went to trailers and it just gives me the trailers as normal?
Very confused, some pointers would be much appreciated.

... do a aTV reset - unplug it, whatever.
aTV sometimes seems to cache the DNS settings (thus not asking again...). At that point PlexConnect just can't get in between.
I’ve managed to get it working but when I goto the admin page it doesn’t let me add a selection source
If i press Save, It just stays on the popup and does nothing?
Also isn’t letting me sign in to myPlex on the preferences it just says there was a problem signing into myPlex

Like f00b4r already said it is a PMS issue and you could try asking that forum. But try to login using your email address instead of your username.
