Windows Plex server to ios Plex player cannot ply Tidal music

I would like to cast tidal music from my laptop Plex server (Windows 10) to an ios Plex player (iPhone Xr). Whereas this works perfectly for iTunes, when attempting the same thing with linked tidal library, the “now playing” status strip at the bottom of the server’s window continuously refresh itself. If I click on a playlist or a song inside a tidal list from the Plex PC server, I get the following message : “Playback error: An error occurred trying to play this item.”
Conversely, I can play a Tidal song on my ios Plex app (“advertise as player” option activated).
Pity, Plex would make for a nice front end to my Tidal Hifi subscription…

no one replied or even bothered pointing me to the right channel. This is exactly why I am giving up with Plex. I don’t have the inclination nor the time to become some DIY nerd in order to use plex as a front end to tidal. I am very disappointed. I regret getting a life time pass many years ago now…

One would think at least Plex would be a bit more clever instead of curating a wall of nerdy messages and forums, There could be some AI help here pointing you to Plex forums for dummies or something. You guys are so entrapped in your own contemplation you can’t even properly serve your subscription paying customers. Or maybe update a database of so called ninjas’ by location so that I can contact such person by email and have him or her helping me out even for a fee. But nah, that massive wanking exercise instead…

I experience similar limitations. I can’t cast Tidal content from my iPhone to my Windows 10 PC, nor from the PC to the iPhone. Are these limitations by choice, or will the functionality become available in future updates?

Casting to Chromecast works fine, btw.
