How do you make this tidal thing work?

trying out the 1 month free tidal subscription. so far not impressed.

nothing tidal shows up in the web app - yes, my account is linked. on the tidal links in the web app i just get the generic signup page.

in the ios app, nothing shows alongside my music. if i change the source to tidal - then i cant see my own music. - whats the point? may as well just use the tidal app.

can’t cast tidal to my tv (plex on ios to plex on tv), says content is not supported (but can cast the tidal app).
this might be because plex hasn’t updated the hisense tv app for over 1.5 years.

i am running the latest plex server (linux docker)/webapp(plex.tv)/ios app as of today and have restarted everything

either i’m missing something really obvious or the plex/tidal integration is full of bugs and needs a lot of work to be usable. so… my question: how do you get tidal to appear in with your own music?

Edit your music library,
go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
make sure to check ‘Include related TIDAL content’

thanks, but already ticked.

Have you tried to unlink your Tidal account from your plex account and re-link it?

A different idea:
if your music library is a ‘Premium’ library, try to set up a second music library with the last.fm agent. (I’d only use a subset of a few albums and not the whole music folder).
Then see if Tidal content is augmenting this test library.

unlinking and relinking worked. i thought it didn’t at first but then it started to populate after a couple of minutes.
