Funny thing is I had no luck on my new win 8 64 bit notebook. But when i dusted off my old win 7 32 bit notebook it worked on my first try. :D Thank You 2600Sam.

There was talk that some USB micro cables don't work, I used one from an old Nokia phone , which worked. Another thing you could try is a different pc if you have one.

Its starting to drive me crazy. I've repeated the steps at least 5 times now all with the same result on two separate machines. Think ill sleep on it. Maybe im missing something. Stupid night shift

fill out a little bit more on the right side...
i have seen that sometimes it also needs company info
just put something bogus....
the error you see is most of the time caused by missing name though but you said you followed the instructions so it might be company name

Edit: finally got the certificate to install on ATV. Had to install the certification in "trusted root certification authorities" now for the final step.
A quick restart of PMS then ran the plexconnect script and everything is running smooth. Thanks for the help :D

First thing you'll have to do is remove the .cert you've already installed on your windows machine. If you're not sure how i used this tutorial http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-vista/view-or-manage-your-certificates

i installed the certificat and its now trusted.
but still got the (#$%^^&*&^^%$) "value connot be null. Parameter name: cert" its driving me crazy
i followed the intructions exactly but still getting it, i dont know what could be wrong or what i''m doing wrong.
So i followed the steps on here and I still get trailers unavailable. When i type in sudo /plexconnect.py I get a msg saying its not a batch file :S

Now I am completely lost
Two things I see. 1) server is not discovered. It is not finding PMS for some reason. 2) I only see port 80, where is port 443? So, are you using the correct version of Plexconnect? Is PMS actually running?
well for some reason it was deleted :S. The plexconnect I am using is the 5.1 I went to downlonad the new 5.2 but there is only the templet files and there only pv files.
