Would like Plex to embrace the functionalities of third-party apps?

Hi,

I’m not sure if someone else came up with that already, but here it goes . . .

A lot of people are using PlexPy and Ombi/Plex Requests.
It would be great to have the functionality of PlexPy (monitoring, statistics, notifications) and Ombi (requests) integrated into the Plex Server itself. This kind of functions, accessible as an app on plex.tv and through mobile apps would help a lot - especially for people who use Plex Cloud server. They wouldn’t need another machine to run everything, and wouldn’t have a headache of configuration necessary to securely access it through the internet (let’s say - from their phone).

I’m curious as to what everyone else thinks about that . . .

Even if it were possible to add a custom Icon / URL to the plexweb interface to direct the user to the OMBI /plexrequest page.

There is apparently Plex Requests channel available, but that’s not a viable solution for Plex Cloud users. That and it’s not exactly convenient, compared to what a fully integrated solution could look like, especially in the PMP.

I use OMBI…basically the same as plex requests but better!!
