Kinda like the “Server Messages” post but a more specific kind of message would be user requests. Pretty much a place where users could request content. It wouldnt have to be individual buckets, just a big bucket for requesting any content; Movies, TV, Songs, etc… This may have to be buckled with the Server Messages however so Im not sure if its feasible on its own but I would love to give my users an easier way of requesting content rather than texting me!
I see an area that is made up of requests with a “Filled” checkbox or an upvote button for specific requests.
Such a feature makes only sense for a server owner who is either
a millionaire
a media pirate
The former group is rather small and doesn’t justify putting the limited developer resources of Plex into it.
And what would happen if Plex would officially incorporate a feature, which makes only real sense for members of the latter group?
It would get sued into oblivion, for being complicit with piracy (or something along these lines, lawyers get very creative when there’s money to be made from punitive damages.)
Therefore this feature will never be implemented (by Plex at least).
