While running Plex with the Xbox 360 app the videos (MKV) have black bars around all sides of the video and requires I use the Zoom feature of the Tv. This is the only client I have this issue with, the xbone, android, and pc clients work fine.
Has anyone one run into this issue? Any Ideas?
Yep I have the same problem.
I think its related to resolution though.
A 720x576 has black borders, where as 720x404 does not.
Strange as MediaBrowser plays this fine through the 360.
Found out pressing display on the 360 remote fixes this.
I have this same problem, the Plex application on the 360 runs in wide screen and displays great. However when you play any content regardless of the selected streaming size (1080p, 1080i, 720p etc) the video is played back in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Pressing "display" on the 360 remote only stretches the video giving all the actors an additional 10 lbs. Edward Norton was very displeased, having just shed his holiday pounds.
Side note: none of my other playback devices experience this difficulty.
