I have a plex server on the lan and 3x xbox’s access it. EVERYDAY the xbox’s will ask for a pin code request to authenticate. I have to go to the web site and give access. It does it and it will then work until they switch off the next day and it will then stop working until the new code is put in the plex.tv/pin site again…
Any ideas welcome. PS not a problem on any other devices internal or external. just xbox’s (360’s if that helps)
don’t know why I mention but could be related I do have users setup i.e. in the scenario of 2 adults and 2 children to access all or selected libraries accordingly is it related???
I am having the exact same problem. I have two 360’s and two Xbox One consoles and I have a Plex Pass account. I’d love to have an explanation as to how to fix this. I have logged into the Plex Server and deleted all of the devices from the connection history and then re-linked the 4 consoles but it still does not work. My mobile apps on my Windows Phones and WIndows 8/10 Tablets all work fine every time.
One other thing - the OP was listed as “answered” in the search results for this issue but I don’t see any other responses to this thread.
i gave up looking for responses to this only just seen your update the forums a bit slow to send response and stuff like this. sorry it just fixed itself over time. works fine now a year later on don’t recall when they fixed it.
As said in that thread, you can link one Xbox Live account to on Plex.tv account. If you log in with a different account it will kill the link to the previous linked Live account. You need to create Plex.tv users for each xbox live account to get around this.
