Xbox doesn't handle merged movies (Part 1 + Part 2)

Plex has a cool feature that if you have a 2 part movie say movieA and you label the video files movieA- part 1 and movieA- part 2, it merges them into movieA (of length part1 + part2). This works fine when viewing on plex.tv, but when playing on the xbox one, it will stop in the middle (at the merge point) and say cannot play file. My work around has been to rename the original files so that they don't merge just to watch it on the xbox,.

Yes, there are quite a few features that still need to be added.

On another note though, I usually just merge my files so on clients that don't support it it's not a worry. mkvmerge is a great one if you don't mind mkv for an output, it will take mp4 and mkv as input. It will just do a remux and not an encode, so it should only take a few seconds, much preferable to renaming the files and having them split in your library in my opinion.

As adam mentioned this feature has yet to be implemented.  One of the key missing features was the implementation of Play Queues (sort of mini playlists).  One of the developers has posted that the next update should be containing play queues which is the start of this feature.

With that being said, there hasn't been any mention of when this feature will be added, but the ground work is definitely being laid.

This should now work in 1.1.7 (the latest). Let me know if you have issues.
