I also feel that supprting in-app transcoding would be amazing.. someday... till then just having the interface and watched status updates working is allready great. Channels would be awesome, and finally transcoding and voice control and second screen support and one guide etc yeah that would make it all perfect.
But just having a proper interface on the XBox to select the movie and start watching it is something I would be very glad with. You know just as limited alpha release or something ;)

Really looking forward to this. I already bought plex on my windows 8 computer. If the client for Xbox comes out before the universal app support on Xbox, I don't mind pay for it again.
They list MoviePlex Play coming to Xbox One soon on Xbox Wire along with more than 45 other apps. Is that the same as Plex Player?

Maybe they gave up on the Plex Xbox One app since MS announced they're making a media player app with full DLNA and MKV Support due out by the end of the year.
I sure as hell hope not...I purchased a XBOXONE for this express purpose. It has all of my secondary media stuff in it...the ONLY thing missing is a Plex Client. Maybe it's a funding issue? I'd be happy to start up a kickstarter/indiegogo campaign to get this rolling.

Don't buy stuff for something that might come in the future. Plex never promised a Xbox One app so if Plex is important a Roku or PC would have been a better choice at the moment.

If you mean the Plex team with "they" it is wrong. Plex never started an App for Xbox it was one guy here on the forums that did.
