The info is coming from Neogaf and Reddit forums. Nothing from the official channels, but between Plex and Tyson... they appear to be playing the world's longest silent game.
The biggest hint at it being a reputable source is that the Plex App icon is hosted on the Xbox Live server.

I currently use My Movies (www.mymovies.dk) to stream from a Media Center PC the a Xbox 360. It shows the Blu-Ray/DVD covers on it's interface and, you select one of them to view. I am waiting for something like that to be available before I shell out for an Xbox One. Will the Plex Xbox One app have a nice interface like this or, will it just display folders that you have to negotiate to find what you want to play? Please tell me that it is going to have a pretty interface that my kids can use! :-)

The app is (eventually) coming to the 360 as well. Don't buy a xbone just for a plex client. A Roku, Raspberry Pi, FireTV, etc will all offer similar functionality for a fraction of the price.
so do either one of these apps handle uncompressed bluray rips on a gigabit network - m2ts or mkv? do they do it flawlessly? My WDTV had a sparkling first couple months but has started freezing quite a bit.

If you don't have your plex server up to the latest when you first install the plex client on the xbox one, it will fail to ever find it, even if you upgrade it later. The installation wants you to keep picking a server, which it can't find. Fortunately, if you select "servers" at the top right, it will let you pick the server that it says isn't the right version, and it will use it just fine.
If you happen to have 8 tv episodes in the screen, episodes 7 & 8 will not be given a "Item 7" and "Item 8" so you can select them via voice. Also, there is no "Next Page", so there is no way to select them via voice (Annoying).
Occasionally, all the "Air Dates" for all the episodes of a tv show change to the latest episode air date. Totally ruins the "Latest Episodes Aired" selection on the main screen when it's filled with 30 past episodes.
I haven't found a way to filter tv shows so it only displays ones with unwatched episodes. Odd that they have a section for tv shows you haven't yet started watching, but none for ones you are up to date with except for one or two episodes.
Main screen has no voice way of panning right via voice, you are stuck with the first two sections, one of which gets messed up often (see above), and the other is one that I'm not likely to use often (Start watching a tv series that I haven't started yet).
Home screen not configurable at all (Boo!).
Graphicat upper left (Go back I think?) gets doubled when video starts playing.
"Xbox Pause" doesn't seem to work while video playing.. Says no music is playing, but "Xbox Select.. Pause" does work. Oh well.
I started with an outdated Plex server running on windows. It complained about needing a new version, I upgraded and restarted the machine. I exited and restarted the Plex XBONE app and it's been working great ever since...with one small exception. There have been 2 movies I attempted to play that started with just black screens. After a few seconds I went back to the Movies' page and then restarted to play the movie and it went fine. I do share your wish to be able to customize the home screen, maybe even set a few default filters...I usually have movies with "Recently Added" and TV Shows with "Recently viewed Shows". That would be great. All in all, I'm perfectly OK with what they have, I can finally get rid of my little PC in the living room and will finally have one device for all of my media!!! I'm not even a gamer, I bought the XBOXONE solely for the purpose of having all of the media streamers (Netflix/Amazon/Crackle) and, as one person promised...and Plex came through, having Plex on the XBOXONE too.

Xbox pause does seem to work now as well. Again, odd, but if it was a start up glitch, I’ll live.
My only issue with the app is that after using the Xbox Media Player Preview where it allows you to select everything by its name in voice mode, rather than everything being the same with a number at the end. I hope that’s an option that can be implemented.
