Xbox One Live Tv ignores local information, causes server crash.

Trying to watch penguins hockey on ATT Sports Network, it’s also on nationally on NBCSN however, in Pittsburgh it is only on ATTSN due to blackout.

On the Apple TV when I see it it is ATTSN that is playing NHL Hockey, NBCSN also displays NHL Hockey, however it does not load. When I attempt to load it on the Xbox, I only see 1 NHL Hockey, no matter what option I select, be it play now or play on channel and select the proper channel it loads NBCSN and only NBCSN which is currently in this area showing a car auction. However I’ve also noticed that the xbox tends to frequently fail to tune to channel due to no parts and then proceeds to crash the server.

Obviously some of my home prefers to use the Xbox over the Apple TV so I’m curious if there is a fix for this.

I would assume that this is an issue that many sports fans are going to have due to local blackout restrictions and what not. I’m not sure why the Xbox UI would group “like shows” together and be different then the other UI’s. I much prefer having the channel name underneath each icon and can’t wait for grid view.

Did they add live tv to the xbox app? Last i checked it wasnt supported on xbox

it was added over 2 months ago and for whatever reason does not function in basic things, such as proper channels being pulled up.
