I've recently added some movies to the media folder monitored by Plex, and the system properly found them and listed them when I browse the local Plex web site. The movie poster shows up properly, and the movie plays just fine. However, when I launch Plex on Xbox One the movie is no where to be found. I backed out to the Xbox One home screen and hit Start -> Quit to make sure the plex app launched from scratch, and still no dice. There are at least two movie titles that I could easily identify as not showing up. Both have my standard mp4 encoding settings just like the rest that show up and work properly.
There's no format filtering on the XB1 for movie library - so they should all be there.
It may be worth creating a new movie library and adding just the troublesome movies in there, to see what's going on. Please can you try that and see what web and XB1 show?
mazma75 - I tried that and it didn't show up, I tried jumping in and out 3-4 times and it never showed. I also tried scrolling from start to finish 2-3 times and that didn't work either.
Dom C - That worked, interestingly I went back to the original Movie library and 1 of the 2 showed up, but wasn't functional since i'd moved it to a different folder, but it was showing up. So since that allowed the videos to show up, is that the solution going forward?
So this sounds like it might be 2 issues. We're aware of the 'jump to letter' sometimes landing you in a place with incorrect movies around your selection. We're looking into this.
springerc69's case sounds different though. You're just scrolling through, and you never see these movies?

Mine were there. Kept panning to look around. Then they were gone once I panned back. I can't remember for sure, but all "M" movies were gone.
Sorry for the delay Dom C, thought I replied to your post. That is correct I never saw the movies scrolling start to finish, or jumping to the letter.
I believe after I created the second movie library I told the system to update all the libraries, then the movie showed up. Subsequently I added another movie, did not tell the library to update, and days later the movie still did not show up on Xbox. I did a manual library update, tried again, and the movie showed up. I changed the update settings from Automatic to Automatic Every Hour, and now new movies seem to be showing up properly.
