Would love this feature, from what I understand the New Xbox Experience makes it easier for developers to code in OneGuide functionality.
It would be awesome to favourite Plex app channel on the OneGuide tab as well seeing recently added movies next to the app tile on Home.
Yeah… im a strictly Xbox One / Mobile user and yes the Plex App works great but would be insanely added benefit for Plex to have App channel integration with Oneguide… At least give us a beta for those who actually pay/paid for Plex! But seeing how its been a long time since the request… who knows when Plex will actually get to it or priority is actually increased for powers to be to actually start developing it… so sad…
As Dom has already mentioned, it’s already on our list of features to look at. But we have to prioritize, and getting to feature parity with other clients is simply higher priority at the moment!
The OneGuide in principle has so much value, but 90% of my media apps don’t use it well or at all. The 10% that does I end up using much more often.
Ditto for the universal search. Right now I can search for a movie title and get results from Microsoft Films & TV and from Netflix. If Plex also enabled this, I could actually search for content instead of trying to remember what I have where.
so how about that OneGuide integration?
Lack of comment in the matter suggests no news, real shame. Having Amazon, Netflix and Ms Film & TV channels under live TV is great, Plex one guide channels would be thr icing in the cake… having Plex there would finally allow me to switch to a single device! (Don’t like that I would have to go to apps to launch it, needs to be kid friendly, I.e. super simple and not getting distracted by games on the same tab that apps is under!!) I’ll give it another 6 months the move to Kodi I think (reluctantly)

Wondering if there has been any news on this since September, or January '16 in the case of employee comment? I would love to see On Deck and Recently Added/Aired as app channels.
This would be a great feature, but since we have not seen any movement on the feature parity front in a long time, I can’t imagine we are ever going to get this

We’re still investigating this feature but I don’t have any concrete answer for you at the moment. It’s actually not straightforward at all to implement due to the nature of our app. Without getting into the technical nittygritty of how the guide works, it’s very difficult to generate the guide content for an ecosystem where every user has different content. Regardless we’re still looking into how it can be done.
