(I brought this up in the rasplex chat also, as I am trying both XMBC running Plexapp, and Rasplex, so if you see both my posts, they are the same but different.)
I have my plex server with all my thousands of songs on it, all have album art and music data, no issues there.
I then have my Pi running XMBC and the plexApp, and it is hellishly slow to browse through my music collection. I believe this is because the Pi does not cache the album art etc until that particular album is on the screen and the art is displayed in front of me. It then caches the pictures etc so when I go to it next time, its already local to the Pi and it loads faster. So theoretically if you do this for every single album you have, then you should be able to browse through your collection and it be 'faster' as the music art etc will be cached locally on the Pi.
This is at least what I have read.
What I am asking is, is it possible for there to be a method for this to happen on request. So I can push a download button on the Pi, and it will request all album art etc from the Plex server, and store it locally on my Pi, without me having to trawl through my many albums caching them one by one.
Currently it is unpleasant to use this system while album art isn't cached. That said, its a great system working on the resources available, but this is just a request to see if its possible to do the above in order to enable the first few weeks of using all this, smoother, until the system is caches its terribly slow.

From memory that is already a discussion in the RasPlex forum about adding a "generate cache" or something similar button but the devs preference on this is along the lines of "well, lets just fix cache'ing so that it works"
