XPlay (WebOS)

Is there a possibilty to Play 3D MVC files (mkv or m2ts) on LG WebOS 3.0 (55C6D)?
I was not able to get them running, neither trough the internal Player nor xplay. In both ways I only get a 2d Picture.
So I have to convert all the 3D files to Full SBS / Full OU and put the TV manually in 3D mode to watch 3D movies with xplay?

Hi

I really enjoy XPLAY but PLEASE, can you add a folder option? I know a lot of people are asking for it and it works great in the PLEX app.

Hi, One more vote for making the switching of audio tracks on webOS 3+ available!
Great product, BTW - keep up the good work

XPlay will not play it as internal Player dont want to play it …
XPlay relays on system functionality to decode and play media files

Just tried this ability on webOS 3.0 emulator and it seams that worked at least one time)) Ive tried to open different media file and just was not able to play any media file any more +)) webOS 3.0 just stopped working correctly
webOS 3.0 emulator ā€œa bitā€ buggy … Emulators of webOS 1.2.x or 2.0 works correctly I can play media files and see media file but in webOS 3.0 emulator I can see only white screen when trying to play any media file (some kind of media content protection?))))

As I dont have real webOS 3.x TV next to me for better testing I can try to implement audio tracks selecting for webOS 3.x without testing and wait for feedback if it works

Happy to test if that’s helpful ..

Just updated XPlay version with audio track selecting for webOS 3.x functionality (version 1.2.8.20170422 )
PS
And one more note … its not well tested as I dont have webOS 3.x next to me and webOS 3.x emulator does not work properly

It works - I can choose different audio tracks without transcoding.

Yep can confirm you can choose different audio tracks without transcoding on my WebOS 3 TV!

Also confirmed. Great work. Thanks very much.

Hi Bublikoff.
XPLAY V1. 28 (TEST) and Plex 1.5.5 cannot play FLAC audio files.

Error message :An error occurred during media playback.

Could you check this issue, please?

Thank you very much.

This is great news if Xplay can choose different audio tracks without transcoding.
But I do not have the proposed update on my TV ?

Check if you have 1.2.8.20170422 version … it uses online version of xplay if TV has inet connection.

Is there any way to force the update? My TV is connected to the internet but is still on version 1.2.8.201702x

Hard to say … current ā€œonline updateā€ was a test of ability to do that without dealing with LG QA. And yes I do see that some users still have ā€œstore versionā€. I’ll probably push all changes since last store update to LG store.
Actually … for the moment it’s not update … its better to say that it just run main app file from Internet every time it (re)starts. And in case it fails to download it it uses local version (old/version from store)

So this new ā€œaudio track selectingā€ feature is only working on WebOS 3.0 TVs right? IĀ“m on WebOS 1.x (LG 47LB671v from 2015) , so I donĀ“t get the update via LG store update functionality, right? Or do I get the update, but the feature has no function on my TV? Sorry, IĀ“m a bit confused how this LG store integration and update functionality works…

Yes I confirm. I am using version 20170422. 1.2.8 (TEST)
One can choose different audio tracks without transcoding
On the other hand, for subtitles, there is transcoding

Merci bublikoff B)

Yep, only webOS 3.x. There is no tech possibility to do that on older platforms

lol))) lets wait for webOS 4.x to have ability to switch between subtitles tracks)
Actuality its possible on current platforms … but with some notes. all subtitles tracks must have different language code
