xTeVe is just a proxy for Plex, the video processing for the clients makes the Plex server.
If clients do not play the stream, I can not do anything.
Great job, would be great to get a chance to try it.
Hi all,
Anyone using xTeVe having the same problem?
Is it be possible to change the TCP port? I get the following message when loading my m3u
[xTeVe] DVR IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:34400
[xTeVe] [ERROR] listen tcp :34400: bind: address already in use - Web server could not be started
Regards
EDIT: Sorted editing port on /root/xteve/config.json
Is in the documentation ![]()
xteve -port=8080
Strange, records work perfectly on the FireTV.
The exact message says:
“Media Unavailable - The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server. Please verify that the file exists and the necessary drive is accessible.”
I’m able to setup the m3u list and get EPG data (by postal code not using the -xmltv option).
Plex says that it’s unable to play the stream (I can play the URL’s in the m3u directly in the browser)
I get the following in the log:
2018/07/13 16:08:18 [xTeVe] Stream:

Suggestions?
Watching with keen interest!
The fact this works with xmltv files is very attractive.
Also watching closely, currently I’m using the tvhproxy which works very well but I guess this could replace needing that step. Nice work
Thanks, if you need a key to test, contact me
This is exatly what i am after, currently using tvhproxy but getting more problems than it solves, if you have any spaces open on your beta I would gladly take one? Pms on windows.
New update available. 0.1.31 Beta
Some IPTV providers doesn’t have unique IDs in the M3U file. But Plex need this IDs, so that after an update the assignment is correct.
Do not worry about that, xTeVe will do that for you now.
Hi, I’m having this exact same issue right now. Did you ever figure this one out? The channels load in fine in Plex, but each channel (when I test in Plexweb) says cannot tune.
I’ve had varying degrees of success. The developer has been extremely helpful.
Make sure that the elements in your m3u playlist are not for m3u8’s Plex doesn’t support it.
I wish Plex would allow more then 420 channels. Many IPTV apps allow many more. I know its not an xTeVe problem - just saying
You can filter the streams
Can you specify multiple filters?
yes, you can search for countries, for example, if they are in the m3u. just try it out
Yes I know how to work it – i was just stating a “wish” and I don’t really understand Plex’s rather arbitrary limit. I guess 420 is one of the devs little stoner easter egg jokes.
windows version required “input beta key”, how to enter it? always give exception “invalid key”
