sorry it was a user error i forgot to save after editing the channel mapping
I am having some issues with the XEPG generation, in my case I am seeing apostrophe replaced.
So in the source EPG XML is says:
<title lang="en">How It's Made: Dream Cars</title>
but in the generated XEPG it is now:
<title lang="">How It&#39;s Made</title>
I have tried a few XML sources but no difference. What am I doing wrong?

edit: my bad - not bug with some m3u types > had issue loading xmltv file
eg …&format=vlc&protocol=mpegts
gets all channels but xmltv mapping is empty…
bug with certain channels no video only audio on play or record
plays fine on GSE iptv player but not xteve/plex, screenshot of video file type shown on gse
xTeVe does not do any video processing, xTeVe just passes the streaming URL to Plex
feature req it would be nice to be able to add channels (fake ones) to the channel map … in my case i added another tunner device for OTA but i cant map any channels in plex because it only does 1 EPG source… so i generated an xmltv file for xsteve but it wont pass it till have have channels defined in the channel mapper,

Look in the Discord channel #faq, there someone wrote a program with which it works
Plex DVR does not play every format
I have the same issue!
Are the links .m3u8 or .ts
If they are m3u8 links, Plex won’t play them.

I am completely stuck and puzzled how to install it on my Mac Mini running OS X. I do download the file which come without any extension and there is no explanation at all how to install and configure it. Is there any help available ?
Would appreciate any hint how to get it up and running.

I have this set up and it is working great with Vaders m3u list and EPG. Right now I am not using the catchup m3u list though. Does anyone know if it should work with that?

It’s not a plugin. Go to xteve.de for info and the discord channel listed on the web site.
Having the same issue here, anything in the EPG with an apostrophe shows that weird script instead of the apostrophe.
Bug is being fixed, someone else is testing it
