xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

Make sure the playlist file ends correctly http://my.provider.net/get.php?username=xxxxxxxxx&password=xxxxxxxx&type=**m3u_plus&output=ts**

Navigate to where you put xteve (Applications folder is a good place)

./xteve --port (enter number you want to run it on, the port number)

This has all been documented in this thread and on the xteve website.

I have tried all that, when i download the file from the website it has no extension is that right. Terminal keeps saying no such file or directory.

The following commands must be executed in the terminal:

cd /path/to/xteve/
chmod +x xteve
./xteve

This is what i am getting.

James-Costello:~ jamescos1$ cd/jamescos1/Applications/xteve

-bash: cd/jamescos1/Applications/xteve: No such file or directory

that would only work if xteve is a folder.

Any suggestions i have tried all the tips i have got and it still wont run

Wondering what others are using for Stream sources successfully with xTeVe and plex. I’ve been on VaderStreams the last month, but its not supported and doesn’t work. (They have a decent app though)

MK

it looks like this and it was working before and just stopped working… so no clue why…

wow the filter one works - did’nt did before - nuts - maybe i had two issues - thank you!! for the hint!!

friend says that doesn’t work period but least it works as intended, just have to accpet the bugging m3u8 error.

How is it not supported? If you have a m3u URL and epg URL from your provider and enter them correctly in xteve it should work. xteve is agnostic really — I’ve tested it out with at least 6 providers (although I do not use the one you mentioned.)

Also I’m not sure discussing specific IPTV hosts is proper here. Probably take that to Reddit.

Is there any tutorial how to install and run xteve for Ubuntu 14.04, I’m not being able to get the program run in my OS.

I switched from vaders, didn’t work at all. It was complete ā– ā– ā– ā– .

Solution to the problem when channel mappings are often wiped in xTeVe.
This is because the M3U from your provider has been updated with added or removed channels and put everything out of sync.
How I got round it was to download the M3U from your provider and import locally into xTeVe instead of using your providers M3U url. Yes it wont be the most up to date channel list but it wont constantly mess up your channel mappings and mostly what are changed from your provider are VOD and foreign channels you probaby wouldnt even want to add into Plex.
I’ve had it running for a few weeks without any problems and I dont mind updating every 6 months or so. I use xtream editor too so I can see what channels have been added or removed.

If anyone’s interested in an easy way to merge XMLs and keep one XML up to date in xteve, I’ve been using https://www.iptv-epg.com . – it works great, has a friendly editor, and an extensive list of EPG data. Its not free if you use it past the trial, but it is cheap. Its been working great for me.

It even emails you if there are changes to your providers m3us – for instance I got a notification yesterday of new channels.

Hi, probably a dumb question, but how do I edit the port on /root/xteve/config.json? I’m on Mac.

./xteve -port=8080
