xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

In xTeVe settings the “selection of the EPG source” is XEPG.
In the XMLTV menu, I entered the URL for the XML file from my IPTV provider that contains the EPG data.
In Plex, I don’t see where I can specify the xteve.xml file.

It is not easy to see the first time. But it is in Plex when you add a new tuner and are going to choose your TV provider. Above that you can see a row that says something about “Press here for input of your own XML-file” or something to that effect. Press there and you have a new line where you put the link to your EPG XML file.

Hi,

i have mapped all channels (XEPG) with the EPG remote link from my IP Provider. In plex i have copy/paste XEPG link from xteve and now all channels all enabled but when i go to guide everything is empty and i cant see any guide infos.

Thanks for help in advance

Restart Plex and reload the web interface

I have tried it already couple of times. Guide is still empty and i cant access the channels (22 enabled).

If i press show XEPG it says “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”

But the availability looks good.

If there is no current program information in your XMLTV file, the guide will be empty.

Is there anyway to add the tvg-shift command to the m3u? My guide is off by 5 hours. The guide I use comes in as UTC +0000 and the XEPG that xteve creates is -0500 but it’s not actually shifting the time so everything is off by 5 hours.

All Channels red in xTeVe - any idea why?
Worked before and now no channels any more - same provider - is there a db or cache file somewhere?

Good morning.

I managed to get this set up on my Synology NAS using Docker as per a previous post.

I have my m3u and xmltv stored on xtream-editor.com which I entered under the LiveTV & DVR setup page and which mapped all my channels as expected.

If I now edit my channel list on xtream-editor (i.e. remove a few channels from the list), how do I get Plex to update with the new channel list ? Do I have to delete the who DVR and set it up again each time ?

Many thanks in advance
Jimmy

There really isn’t anything like you describe. First screen looks like this:

Second screen looks like this:

So I don’t see where I can enter the EPG URL. The pull-down list you see there comes from my HDHomeRun which is disconnected. Should I remove it from Plex entirely? I already pulled the power cord from it.

You have to do it on first setup. So you should delete that DVR and add it back. The. You will see screen that says to enter zip code OR supply your own EPG file location/url

anyone? can’t find a solution…

How does this look on your xTeVe?

Your playlist contains many streams, you have to use the filter and then the mapping.

Hi, 90% of the channels work perfectly with the stream buffering enabled which I would like to continue using as I have floorless viewing and recording but I notice 10% of the channels will not stream with the Client has Disconnected error as mention a few posts above. Is this something that will be looked into or it is what it is?

Many Thanks for such a great program!

@kb-gtr thank you! That was it! I deleted my HDHomeRun and I was able to complete xTeVe setup as you indicated. Thanks!

Great! Enjoy
