xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

small question: Why is it considered to be a “closed beta”? Do you want to sell it afterwards?

Ok, now I see that the “strange” IP is the IP of a virtual NIC (NAT). Its not the physical NIC.

When I decided to publish xTeVe, I did not realize how many people wanted to use it. No software is error-free, it does not help me if 100 people show the same bug. I try to answer every message and eliminate the bugs quickly. In the beginning there are many bugs that had to do with the M3U lists of a certain provider. With the beta key I can control that. But there will also be a public beta version without a key.

I have to adjust your network constellation with me.
The main thing is that it works properly.

If I deactivate the virtual networks. It works in the correct IP. But I need another Beta Key to test it.

I reset the key, try it again

In the next release of xTeVe, streams with conditions and exclusions can be filtered. For example:
Show me all sports channels with HD but no French and Spanish. Found channels are then displayed in the web interface.

Hello marmei,

I use yavdr with streamdev-plugin to get my sat-tv into lan. Now I managed to get my channels into plex dvr but its not very easy to maintain,
Maybe I can try your xTeVe-script? Ca you please add me to your beta testers?

Best regards,
Stefan

Hello again, a little doubt. What is the function of xmltv? Plex does not use it at all, does it?

Plex can only use XMLTV if that file is local to your hard drive. In most cases, the XMLTV file must be downloaded from the Internet, xTeVe can do that for you on a regular basis. The file will then be in the temp folder. The path is at the top of the web interface when you save the XMLTV settings.

Thank you for your great job, i tried the proxy an works very well, better than other that i have tried. I want to try the plex guid number in the m3u list, i have channels that plex did not recognize, can you explain better how to do the manual guid number with plex, i want to set my own guid numbers logos names and xmltv …

If you use XMLTV you do not have to change the plex guid number. The number is only important for the Plex EPG.
This has nothing to do with the order of the channels.
Plex uses Gracenote’s EPG, where each channel has a unique ID. Some m3u lists have a unique ID for each channel, which is important if the m3u file changes. If PMS ID is not entered in the setting, xTeVe generates a unique ID for each channel. These IDs are not the same as Gracenote’s.
I’m not sure, but I think the order of the channels in Plex comes from the ranks in the M3U file.

If you have an M3U file with unique channel numbers, it looks something like this:

#EXTINF:0 CUID=“3011” tvg-name=“Channel Name 1” tvg-id=“cn1” arc-time=“72” catchup=“shift” catchup-days=“3” tvg-logo=“…” group-title=“Stream”,Channel Name 1

#EXTINF:0 CUID=“3153” tvg-name=“Channel Name 2” tvg-id=“cn2” arc-time=“72” catchup=“shift” catchup-days=“3” tvg-logo=“…” group-title=“Stream”,Channel Name 2

In this example, the parameter CUID is the designation for this ID. In the PMS ID settings, this parameter (CUID) would have to be entered.
If these ID’s are also identical to those of Gracenote, the channels are automatically sorted correctly even when setting up xTeVe in Plex.

Any response to this?

I answer only questions about this project and give help. He has written his opinion on this project, which everyone is welcome to do. Why xTeVe is the way it is is at the top of the description.

Surely you can explain why its calling home?
