xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

Plex has disconnected from xTeVe. Presumably, the stream is not compatible with Plex DVR.
The problem is perhaps the stream, you can open the xteve.m3u synonymous with VLC, if the stream works with VLC, the problem somewhere with Plex.

with vlc they work perfectly with iptv cigaras too. Any ideas

As I said, Plex DVR does not play all streaming formats.

As I said before the transmissions are in HD H264 AAC sound.
Therefore it is impossible that the channel is another type of problem.
Also as I told you before at the beginning they worked for me.
Would you change something in plex?

The providers regularly change their streams. I can not change anything about Plex, but there are providers who advertise that their streams are compatible with Plex.

Or you look into the Plex log, actually there should be exactly what the problem is.

xTeVe (v2) is now working beautifully with m3u8 streams on Plex.

AWESOMENESS!!!

Hint/tip for new users of XTeVe:
1.) You need to have xTeVe configured and running, before you configure it within Plex.
2.) You also need to change the settings within xTeVe, to "enable: the Stream Buffer feature.
(m3u8 streams won’t tune/play, if you don’t have Stream Buffer enabled.)

I’ve had some unexpected experiencing in trying to ā€œrecordā€ these streams. But, that MIGHT just be a Plex issue? (Still researching…)

I’ve also noticed that not EVERY stream plays properly. (e.g. some still play fine via VLC, but fail to play via Plex.) I haven’t really figured out ā€œwhyā€ (yet?) I’ve been too happy with the stuff that IS working, to mess with the stuff that isn’t working…

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS for xTeVe!!!
Too bad the folks at Plex hadn’t baked this functionality into their own code? (wink)

Hi Marmei, i am currently using xTeVe 1.4.4 and i have the box ticked to automatically upgrade but it hasnt upgraded to v2 that you have now released, is there a way I can force the upgrade or do it manually without losing all my settings and channel mappings i have created in 1.4.4?
Thanks

This worked great Marmei, thanks!

Hi @marmei! And thank you for the great work!

How I can solve this?

Please test this with the beta.

does anyone have version 1.4.4

Not sure why you would want to, but for now, older versions can be reached at
Https://xteve.de/

You intend to support 32 bits within version 2.0? I run xTeVe from a Raspberry.

v2 is 64 bit only because I have no 32 bit device to test. The source code is on GitHub, but I do not know if that can be built on a 32 bit device.

Thanks, it’s working now.

I can be a tester, but I don’t know how to build. I’d be very pleased to help any way I can.
