I have a series of personal movies (from camcorder tapes) I have ripped to MP4 files and am using MP3Tag v2.95 to add the appropriate metadata before loading into Plex. Using information on several other threads, I have been able to piece together the mappings below. Except for the Title and Year tags, all of the information transfers properly to Plex (so I know that Plex is seeing the changes to the metadata being added by MP3Tag). But the Title and Year tags don’t transfer properly - Title keeps reverting to the filename, and Year to the year the file was added to the server. Since these are personal files, I can’t do a lookup from an on-line service, and I would prefer to add this information as metadata in the file directly so it is retained in case I need to rebuild the Plex database in the future.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
