Since a week ago, whenever I stream anything I have audio sync issues.
The sync issue occurs on my PS4 (i have not noticed it on other players but can test if needed) and it happens when:
- The file stops playing for whatever reason - pause, stop, replay
- I skip forward or backward using any of the given options
- I switch subtitles on/off (this was the first time I saw the problem when I switched on subs for an italian movie)
Since this is happening I tried “fixing it” by using a few suggests from forums - restart PS4, restart server PC, restart the apps,
The only way to “fix” this is:
- To play from start
- To not skip back or forth even once
I plead for some help here if you can please!
This definitely needs to be answered. I have this problem all the time, and I’m about to stop using Plex all together. It’s very frustrating.
Since i installed the latest update for the server on my Windows 10 laptop today, all of my previously fine files are now out of sync when playing them on my PS4.
It seems its something related to the latest update + Windows 10.

@Standing_Bear - thanks for confirming I am not alone on this! 
No problem. Try this, it worked for me. Go to settings in the ps4 app. Then audio. Then check the AC3 box. It seems to have fixed it.

Very sorry for the super late answer. And to anyone who had this issue, stumbled here and wasnt sure if the above fixes the problem.
It does. Once I did this - all went back to normal!!
