Network issues

Hi

I got some strange behavior sometimes:
The server seems to not respond correctly. Tonight, i got my android tv box (plex running on kodi on xiaomi mi box) that can’t connect to my plex server on the same local network while rasplex can (connected on the same ethernet switch). Investigating what happened, i connect to server on other computer through web interface and it says “you are not connected directly to your server” (accessing by plex.tv/web). Weird. I decided to access my server directly (:32400/web/index.html) and it’s says it can’t connect to my server after typing user password.
The only way to return to stable situation was to restart plex service on my server.
I used all day long plex playing music at work and it worked fine. I did nothing between end of my work and movie playing. It’s not the first time this behavior appears. I’m running latest stable release (1.3.4.3285)

Also i configured my firewall to access my plex server from outside (i dnat 32400 port only) but when i try to configure it without forcing manually port to 32400 it can’t connect to plex “cloud” service and seems to be lost in connection attempts (connecting status never ends). It’s not a big issue because i can configure correctly what i want but i would like to know what happened

Thank you for your support

I retryed this morning and no changes.
Plex kodi addon doesn’t connect anymore to my server (same local network) and i reinstall plex android app which works perfectly… :frowning:
I’m using kodi addon to play hevc content that doesn’t work on android tv plex app.

I expected more help about my problem

My plex server is on a debian server that acts like a NAS. It’s a computer on my network that is managed by another debian server. This last computer runs shorewall with DNAT configuration for specifically my NAS:
InternetBox<-ethernet->Debian(Shorewall)<-ethernet->Switch 24 ports
Switch 24 ports <–> Debian(NAS)
Switch 24 ports <–>AndroidBox1
Switch 24 ports <–>AndroidBox2
Switch 24 ports <–>Other computers…

I was imaging Plex Kodi addon check if it can find plex server on the same network but it seems it doesn’t according to last logs. Why is it not scanning as a priority the local network? It certainly resolved my problem.
Is it the same behaviour on plex media player? It is working great on all my other local computers

I tried again tonight connecting my android box directly to the same ethernet switch than the NAS (instead of a wifi switch) but it changed nothing. I also tryed to add DNAT configuration for my android box without success.
Maybe can you explain to me what exactly the service is trying to do and give me some tracks to follow that help me ? (need to open new ports, I don’t know)

Anyway thank you for your help
