Many of us are in the Xbox One preview program that provides us with early releases of the Xbox One operating system.
With the new Xbox One Experience having being released, some of us have opted into the New Experience program.
Would the Plex team consider an opt-in for testing the latest Plex (which hopefully takes advantage of their new APIs) in case there are any quick fixes required for Plex compatibility with the new Windows-10-based-New-Xbox-Experience?
If you are in the program and can provide feedback on functionality, then I’m sure the team will be grateful. I myself haven’t gotten the update for my Xbox (but am enrolled) and will be giving feedback when the time comes.
I’m sure they have some type of plan for going forward with the OS change for Xbox, but I doubt they will publish that here as it’s an internal matter. Could be wrong, but that’s the norm. 
At the same time though, plenty of issues with Plex could be related to the OS. For example, I’ve seen stuttering in Plex on this preview build that wasn’t there on previous builds so until the OS gets into a more stable state, it might not be worth investing time in investigating issues with Plex.
That said, I would hope they have at least one box in the preview program for testing

Back on topic though, I would agree with Wilhelm; hopefully someone at Plex is on the preview program and able to test given that this update is going to be a biggy. At the same time though I would hope that Microsoft don’t do too much changing of api’s and libs etc that would cause the apps already available to not function. However it’s definitely worth testing!
Shouldn´t they already use the Universal App platform as they have brought the Windows and Windows Phone client together ?
Then (according to MS) it should be pretty easy to bringt this version over to the Xbox One.

I’m in the Preview program, but still ‘enroll pending’ for the new interface. If M$ ever welcome me into their super exclusive little club though, I’ll certainly be testing the hell outa plex, haha.
Has anyone actually tried it yet tho? AFAICT, it’s all pretty secret squirrel business at the moment :-/
I know someone that’s got in (his preview points are about 1000, I’m around 750 and don’t have it). There are quite a few bugs and he’s having to hard reboot quite often. I’m just shy of 900… Maybe its a good thing I didn’t do that extra couple of quests then, lol.
Hopefully they get a few of the dramas sorted before round 2.
Did the interface update complete the “windows 10” upgrade (incl dx12) or is it just a buggy reskin for now?
I’m so excited to check out the preview but have never been able to get an invite to the beta program. Do you guys know if they are still accepting people? I’d be eternally grateful if someone could afford an invite and being a heavy plex/xbox one user, I’d love to offer feedback to the program.

I just send invites to tknice0L7 and mechanimal82, if xbox does accept new members you see an the invitation in maybe 2-3 weeks, maybe longer depending how much is xbox is slowing down the process or like I said accepting new members.

Just to bump this: I’m currently watching Plex on the NXE, working as expected so far. Haven’t noticed any issues. Hopefully that will alleviate some fears.
Yup same here, not seen any issues and generally liking the new dashboard, apart from the MRU design and the fact that the pins are at the bottom. Plex works great.
I just received the new xbox experience last night and now all videos are choppy for me. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve tried hard resetting as well as uninstall/reinstall with no luck.
