It would be very beneficial to have a number pad in Plex Companion in cases when one has to select PIN-protected user on a controlled Plex player. Using up/down/left/right buttons works, but is not secure since the PIN is visible in the Plex player.
+1. I’d use this all the time. The way the aTV is now, anyone in the room knows what my PIN was, so I use PMP.
Screenshot so folks can see how the PIN entry is done now. Everyone in the room with you learns your PIN as you enter it:
In addition to the number pad in the Plex Companion, it’d be nice if Plex sent a notification to every iOS device you’re logged into when you attempted to login on a player without # keys. You could either type in your PIN on your iOS device or leverage TouchID (preferred) when responding to the alert.
I have parental controls set up with I guess profiles for each family member. When accessing a profile on Apple TV app, it’s easy for everyone to see my PIN. Other apps will prompt me to input via phone at a text box and this would prevent others from seeing it
Yes, i Need the same on the Google tv boxes !
