EPG not updating (with logs)

I initially set it up and everything worked great, then I started noticing that some shows were not continuing. (like nightly news on Monday and Wednesday but not tuesday) and the recording schedule approximately a week after setup. EPG update around 19:31 mark on log file. A lot of “EPG: Found a dupe show” found in the log. I assume the previous EPG information is not being overwritten by the New EPG? Then something happens around 19:32:14 (30%) and finishes at 19:33:49 (100%).

Errors found after refresh completed:
19:34:19.142 [4632] ERROR - handle_stream_read error 335544539 short read
19:34:50.202 [4632] ERROR - WebSocket: closing connection due to fragmentation
19:34:50.202 [4632] ERROR - handle_stream_read error 2 End of file
19:36:26.168 ERROR couldn’t rename file C:\Users…: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
19:36:26.346 [10160] ERROR - PlexClient::downloadContainer: expected MediaContainer element, found html

Removed recordings from recordings schedule, and did a restart. Updated EPG after restart, and now have 2 weeks of programs.

I would assume the new EPG infor can not be stored due to the recording schedule is using the file that needs to be edited.

I have been having the same problem. I believe I tried the same procedure as described, but with no luck.

Including latest log file, any thoughts?

Thanks.

You need to go into settings and click the refresh program guide. Then post logs after it has completed.

What I am wondering is can I remove the DVR list of shows . Then update the EPG data and then re install the file, and to maintain my DVR list?

Running windows 10 version 1607 build 14393.1066 with Plex version 1.5.5.3634. The EPG will download the info but can not update the file.

" ERROR - Couldn’t rename file C:\Users\core\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases v.plex.providers.epg.onconnect-9de5568a-378d-4b70-ab8b-2593927f70d2-loading.db to C:\Users\core\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases v.plex.providers.epg.onconnect-9de5568a-378d-4b70-ab8b-2593927f70d2.db: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

same here updates list up nothing showing up in show list

Same problem here, no updates for days, after manual start, EPG refresh spinning at 1%

Same issue here. Manual update appears to work, but everything shows empty after completion. My Log also shows files in use errors. Additionally, there is an error during the optimization after the download completes, related to a corrupt SQL database schema change. Database fixups run and succeed, but then more file is in use errors.

A server reboot and a manual update seems to have worked. Will have to keep an eye on things. Definitely missed some recordings. An error message after a few failed updates would have been nice.

Same problem, even worse… I tried removing the DVR and running the DVR Setup again. Now I cannot get past the entering the Post Code. The “Continue” button refuses to activate, whatever is put as a post code (in the UK). Something has definitely broken. Using Version 1.6.1.3722. Have restarted server etc.

tried everything too, can’t get it to work. Anyone have 1.4 download link? it worked on that.

I deleted the C:\Users\core\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases v.plex.providers.epg.onconnect-9de5568a-378d-4b70-ab8b-2593927f70d2.db: and other files in that directory for the epg and it seems to now be able to at least see the program guide.

Same here, EPG data is not refreshing again

Same here. no data is showing up…

Postcode detection is broken for me too on 1.6.1.

Hmm broken for me too. No scheduled shows beyond tomorrow.

Broken again. no shows appearing today

I can’t get the guide data to work. Please help! I want to try out this new live TV feature I’ve been hearing about.

Just checked the logs. Looks like it gets to 17% and throws a JSON error.

Same here. no data is showing up…
