EPG data downloading to 100% and then nothing repeatedly before success

I got home from a trip and found none of my shows today recorded. I refreshed the program data 6 times with a restart in the mix and only after the final time did anything show up in the recording schedule or program guide. Each time it would get to 100% and show optimizing database.

This has happened a couple of times now. Is this a known bug? I’ve downloaded my logs just in case, but it would seem that there should be some notification in the UI if the program guide data isn’t updating, but I’m not seeing any warnings in the UI when I refresh and it does nothing…

Just noticed this myself. It stopped updating for me (or recording anything on April 28). I discovered that there was nothing listed in the program guide or the upcoming recordings after April 28. There should be. I’m pretty sure I checked the upcoming recordings after the 28th, but now it’s got zip in it. I download the EPG but so far still nothing in the Program Guide or Scheduled Recordings are showing. Not sure what is wrong. First time I’ve had an issue. I know the server went unplugged last evening (network cable came unplugged from the computer). So I’m not sure what is the issue.

And after restarting the server and updating the EPG a second time it all seems to be working again. I’m on Win 10 with ver 1.5.5.3634 just an fyi. So I can’t figure out the cause, but it appear to be working again.

Same issue here. Just noticed that I had missed some recordings over the past few days. Went to check and noticed that the guide was empty. Manual refresh and all is good, but the auto update has clearly been out for awhile.

EPG is not refreshing for me either. It stays at 0% initializing for a few minutes and then just quits. No new data is downloaded

EPG is not refreshing for me as of now. Totally bummed!

Try again, we had an issue at our metadata provider (I think we overloaded them today, woops!) that should be resolved now.

Still failing. Gets to various percentages then just quits and never any data in program guide. Latest version of plex server (1.7.2).

Even after you delete the DVR and re-add it? Horrible fix, I know, but hopefully it resolves it.

EGO still not loading. Deleted DVR and started over but stuck at 4%.

hopefully someone can help. I just upgraded to the most recent version and now DVR program guide is empty. When I update manually if goes from 0 to 100% but it never actually load shows

I am also having issues with the guide not loading. Tried deleting the dvr and reinstalling it also upgraded to the latest version and restarted plex. Nothing worked still have an empty guide after it gets to 100%

If you have SonLife remove it. FIOS 297 It has no programming data and is causing an EPG problem for some folks. That said it didn’t fix everyone and I’m still waiting to see if it fixes my box (still downloading shows).

Is there any word on when a fix for this issue may happen?

EPG stuck at 20% and nothing showing in “Watch Now”. What’s the problem?

Plex Ver. 1.9.6.4385 / Synology NAS
Refreshing EPG (100%)—Downloaded 0 airings!!!

I was stuck at 64% and nothign I did changed anything, so I removed the DVR completely and set it up from scratch.

Now I am stuck at 0%.

Is there anything we can do on our end to make this work reliably or is the issue all server-side?

Sick and tired of this problem. EPG either gets stuck and doesn’t update or my recordings fail since the EPG does not update. What is the fix?
