I have OpenPHT running on 2 different windows computers (both windows 10). It runs perfectly on both, but on one it gives an error message (see below) 3 or 4 times that has be be addressed before it actually launches the program. Once it opens, it is perfect. It seems to be trying to access the DVD drive for some reason.

there has been some posts about this happening and i dont recall ever seeing the cause of it, it doesnt happen on my win10 machines.
try a complete uninstall, then delete C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\OpenPHT\ and then do a reinstall?
Gave it a go but no luck. It still does it.
if you change your dvd drive letter to say E: does it now ask for E: drive?

Short answer yes that fixed it.
Long answer: I never use the dvd drive so I assumed it was drive “D” because there is only one hard drive in this small PC and it is, not surprisingly, the “C” drive. When I went into the disk management area of windows 10 it showed that the dvd was drive “F” (which is actually what it was in file explorer when I looked instead of just assuming) but there was another drive listed as “D”. Under properties it suggested it was related to something via USB. I’m not sure what I have plugged into a USB port that would be reported as a drive (there is no “D” drive visible in file explorer and there is no notification in the system tray that a usb peripheral is ready to be removed or even could be removed). Either way, I switched the DVD drive to “D” and the phantom drive to “E” and now OpenPHT opens without a hitch.
Many thanks. I should have thought of that myself…
ok, its good you got it working in the end! would be curious to know what that drive is and why openpht has a issue with it, but altleast its sorted
