I have a connect tuner and plex server running on a Mac mini and have had not problems until today (ver 1.92) where a program is scheduled to record but it is not showing up in the recording schedule, whereas it has to this point and when I looked at the settings it shows it to be set to record tonight but it is not showing on the the schedule, whereas another scheduled today is showing up. Any help appreciated
to show visually what this problem looks like, which is still there with server 1.9.3, see the 2 attached images and note its shows it scheduled for recording but it does not show up on the schedule for today.
Can you show the recording settings?
They are shown below, but are not different than any other recorded shows. The advanced setting are default. Plus, next weeks scheduled recording of the good place is shown on the recording schedule as it should be. The single weirdness is that after the time had passed for the show I looked in the recorded shows and it had changed the name of the existing episode 2 (recorded last week) with this week’s show’s title and episode, but did not record the show. I wonder if this was a problem with the EPG if it tried to record a show over an existing show would it have changed the title without recording the show over the existing file? I have to think that for some reason episodes 2 and 3 had the same information in the EPG that caused the problem.
With the “New Airings Only” option selected if the show is not flagged as a New episode in the EPG the show will not record. I have never seen Plex change the name of a show myself and have not seen any reports I can recall on the forum.
Thanks for there responses johnm! I thought of that too and changed to “all airings” before it aired and that did not help (i.e., it did not make it show up in the scheduled recordings). Yes, this is a new one on me too. Thus far I have not had any problems with recording except some of the recordings would get pixelated and the sound would drop out in one or two sections of the recording when played back.

My guess is that you already have a Season 2 Episode 3 of The Good Place in your library. When I look on Wikipedia and epguides.com, it lists ‘Team Cockroach’ as S2E4. When I look on thetvdb.com and imdb.com, it lists ‘Team Cockroach’ as S2E3. On thetvdb.com, it has a message on season 2 that the listings are locked and can not be changed. Usually, this is because too many people keep changing it due to some kind of ambiguity.
Look what episodes (regardless of the title of the episode) are already recorded. I’m guessing you will find an S2E3. If there is, try moving it outside of your Plex library and doing an ‘update libraries’. Does it show up now?
Some of the sites showed S2E1 and S2E2 (a part 1 and part 2) as S2E1, hence the numbering of episodes issue.

I had deleted the episodes in the library and then I did the update libraries, but nothing showed up. I think, however, your answer may be correct. I did download the log files, but don’t know which one I should look in. Any advice?
Plex Media Server. Should be a Plex Media Server.log and five others numbered 1-5 for previous logs, with 1 being the second most current log and 5 being the oldest.
